      <image:caption>When I took up yoga over 20 years ago it was to give my body something back after going to the gym. Now, yoga gives my life meaning, it empowers me to heal. I received my Level 1 Iyengar Yoga certification in 2016 and have been teaching ever since.  The learning never ends and my students have taught me to appreciate the uniqueness of each individual body. In my classes, I tend to focus on an action or a part in the body, so the mind goes inwards.  Every pose I teach builds upon the next until we reach the ultimate pose or as I call it, ‘pose of the day.” I am passionate, I teach with heart, humour, discipline and from personal experience. Students who regularly attend my classes attend for a variety of reasons that might include postural improvements like relieving lower back strains or stiff shoulders.  They want to improve their flexibility or balance on one leg.  Or they want to join a small, friendly group of people or to clear their minds and reduce stress.
