Meet The Teachers

Michelle Blyth

Michelle has been studying Iyengar yoga since 2001; she enrolled in a teacher training course to deepen her knowledge of yoga and qualified as an introductory level 2 certified Iyengar teacher in 2016.  “I am always grateful for being granted an opportunity to share my knowledge of the Iyengar method with my students.”  Michelle continues to study the Iyengar method by attending workshops, annual conventions and classes taught by senior teachers.

“When I took up yoga my life was simple, I did yoga to give my body something back after the gym workout.  After some time yoga became more than just a stretch at the end of the week, it became a practice and a lifestyle choice. Yoga gave my life meaning and it empowered me to heal”

Teaching Standards

All Iyengar teachers are certified, carrying the Iyengar Yoga Teachers Certification mark, this is a sign of excellence. They undergo a minimum of 6 years training in the Iyengar method and have to undergo rigorous assessment. Every teacher must continue further monitored yoga learning and practice throughout their career to retain their certification and IYUK insurance.

Iyengar yoga is practised and taught the world over. The same standards and style of classes will apply wherever you go on the Planet.
